In December 2024 and January 2025, VCSB staff collected a carload of items to help unsheltered individuals stay warm this winter. Stephanie Bortner, Developmental Services Support Coordinator, and volunteer for the Building Bridges for the Greater Good (BBGG) program coordinated this project within our agency.  We delivered donations to Pastor Elaine Rose at the Promiseland Christian Fellowship Church Friday, Jan. 17.

Donations included blankets, pillows, warm weather clothing and more. BBGG volunteers will give donations directly to those in need through partners at River City Breadbasket, Valley Community Services Board, Valley Mission, Virginia Department of Veterans - Staunton office, and Waynesboro Area Refugee Ministry (WARM).
